Welcome to Raven's Readings. I'm reading from The Wind in the Willows, a children's novel written by the British writer, Kenneth Grahame. It's a collection, published in 1908, of bedside stories he had told his son, Alastair. These stories feature various animals, including Mole, Ratty, Badger, and their eccentric friend, Toad.
In the last chapter, Mole went exploring, got lost, and was saved. He returned home, but not for long. Next chapter he explores with Rat, and remembers his old home. It's a quieter chapter, a calming one, as he goes sweetly homeward.
I do readings twice a weeks. Please subscribe to my Substack newsletter, you'll be notified of my updates as soon as they are ready. If you enjoy this reading, or have other classics you'd like to hear, leave me a comment.
Remember that you can manage here which sections of my SubStack you’ll receive emails for—fiction, Odds and Ends, Political Bytes, Podcastings, or all.
